About This Role

Doha Academy is an expanding network of schools located in the vibrant capital of Qatar. Established in 2000, the Academy encompasses three schools and provides a KG-13 educational program that follows a British-based curriculum alongside the Qatar national curriculum. The Academy’s mission is to foster outward-looking, lifelong learners through a comprehensive educational framework rooted in local cultural values and traditions.

As an ambitious institution operated by Al Faleh Educational Holding, which includes AFG College in partnership with the University of Aberdeen, Doha Academy offers excellent career advancement opportunities for staff who are motivated, innovative, and focused on student-centered decision-making.

This is an exciting moment to become part of the Academy. Earlier in 2022, Doha Academy received full Qatar National Schools’ Accreditation (QNSA) and was granted full international accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) in November 2022, launching its highest “ACE Learning” pathway.

As the organization grows, we are eager to connect with qualified and experienced Primary educators who view teaching as a calling. Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree or B.Ed (obtained through face-to-face study) along with a recognized teaching qualification. While Doha Academy primarily recruits teachers from the UK and Ireland, candidates with Primary teaching qualifications from other regions will also be considered.

Interviews will be conducted either in person in Doha or online for international candidates.

The school is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, expecting all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Our remuneration package includes:
- A competitive, tax-free salary;
- An annual return flight to your home country;
- Complimentary bus transportation to and from school;
- A fully furnished two-bedroom apartment with shared amenities and on-site security;
- Medical coverage;
- A renewable two-year contract;
- End of service gratuity.

We welcome applications from married teaching couples and do consider NQTs (ECTs), though we currently do not offer an ECT support program.

Ideal candidates will possess the following qualities:
- English as their first language;
- A passion for their subject and effective teaching methods;
- A commitment to addressing the needs of all students;
- Adaptability to life abroad and resilience;
- A positive attitude and strong team spirit;
- Cultural sensitivity and respect;
- A dedication to their own professional growth.
