Deputy Head Primary - Pastoral

In this role, you will exemplify professionalism at its highest level and focus on:
• Cultivating a culture of care, belonging, and emotional safety within the Primary school;
• Establishing trust and confidence among students, colleagues, and parents;
• Leading behavior, wellbeing, and student support with clarity, consistency, and empathy;
• Ensuring that robust safeguarding protocols and practices are implemented and maintained;
• Promoting positive relationships and a restorative, values-driven approach to behavior and pastoral care;
• Analyzing attendance, behavior, safeguarding, and wellbeing data to identify trends, plan interventions, and improve student outcomes;
• Supporting students’ personal growth, resilience, and confidence, enabling them to thrive socially and emotionally;
• Ensuring consistency and continuity in pastoral practices across all year groups in the Primary phase;
• Enhancing staff capacity and confidence in pastoral care, behavioral support, and child wellbeing;
• Collaborating closely with families and external agencies, when necessary, to provide effective support for students;
• Contributing to school improvement planning and strategic development concerning safeguarding, wellbeing, inclusion, and pastoral systems;
• Promoting the school mission and values, along with those of the NAE family of schools.
