About the SchoolThe British School of Barcelona (BSB) is a distinguished institution located in a prime area. As a member of HMC, we recently achieved an exceptional rating across all categories during a British Schools Overseas (BSO) inspection, which assessed aspects such as educational quality, safeguarding, student welfare, and academic performance.BSB caters to a large and varied student body aged 3 to 18. Our educational approach is based on the English National Curriculum, providing a wide array of GCSEs, A levels, BTEC, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma, alongside a strong enrichment program.With over 2000 students representing more than 74 nationalities and a committed staff of over 315, BSB operates across three campuses. Two of these are located just outside Barcelona in Castelldefels, housing Primary, Secondary, and Pre-University facilities, while another Primary campus is found in the lively town of Sitges. Please specify your preferred campus in your application.We ideally seek candidates with a successful track record in A level and/or IBDP and GCSE Business examinations. However, we also welcome applications from newly qualified teachers.A commitment to participating in the wider life of the school and engaging in our enrichment program is a key expectation for this role.As a teacher at BSB, you will follow the guidelines set forth in the Cognita Teaching Toolkit, which includes established standards for planning, assessment, lesson delivery, and broader professional responsibilities.
