Indian Springs School – Principal Position for the 2026-2027 Academic Year
The Manitoba First Nations School System (MFNSS) is on the lookout for skilled educational leaders to take on the role of Principal at Indian Springs School, located in Swan Lake First Nation, Manitoba. This school serves students from Nursery to Grade 8, promoting a nurturing and culturally vibrant educational environment. Swan Lake First Nation is an Ojibway (Anishinaabe) First Nation community in the Pembina Valley Region of south-central Manitoba, close to the Municipality of Lorne.
Qualifications
To be considered, candidates must satisfy the following criteria:
- Possess a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate
- Submit a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Provide a clear Child Abuse Registry Check
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications are:
- A Certificate in School Leadership
- Level 1 & 2 School Administrator’s Certificate
- Experience in First Nations education
- Knowledge of or a willingness to learn about Anishinaabe culture, language, and traditions
