About This Role

  • 32.5 hours per week, All Year Round
  • Fixed Term 1 Year Contract (Maternity Cover)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of
Geography to join our dynamic and vibrant Humanities department on a one-year
fixed-term maternity cover contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a well-established and
forward-thinking team that is passionate about delivering engaging,
high-quality Geography lessons. Whether you are an early career teacher or an
experienced practitioner, you will be supported to thrive and make a real
impact in the classroom.

Our Geography department is a lively and collaborative environment, where
innovative teaching is encouraged and fieldwork and enrichment are central to
the curriculum. There are excellent opportunities to contribute to trips and
wider enrichment activities, helping bring learning to life beyond the
classroom.

You will benefit from:

  • Your own brand-new classroom, fully equipped and well-resourced
  • A supportive and close-knit staff community
  • Strong behaviour and pastoral systems that allow you to focus on teaching and learning
  • A positive and purposeful working environment where staff wellbeing is valued
  • Opportunities to contribute to a wide range of trips, fieldwork, and enrichment activities
  • We are proud of our inclusive and welcoming school culture, where collaboration and professional support are at the heart of everything we do.

While this is a fixed-term maternity cover role, there may
be future employment opportunities for the right candidate.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a passion for Geography and the ability to inspire students
  • Is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning
  • Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to the department
  • Has high expectations for student achievement and behaviour
