The Role
Working closely with the Head Teacher, the Deputy Head Teacher will:
Provide strong, visible and values‑driven leadership across the school
Play a central role in shaping and delivering the school’s strategic vision
Ensure consistently high standards across the school
Support staff development through coaching, mentoring and performance management
Contribute to whole‑school self‑evaluation and improvement planning
Maintain the highest standards of behaviour, safeguarding, inclusion and pupil wellbeing
Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (or be willing to train)
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a leader who:
Has a proven track record of outstanding classroom practice
Possesses successful leadership experience in a primary or junior school setting
Demonstrates strategic thinking and the ability to inspire and motivate others
Is committed to equity, safeguarding and the holistic development of every child
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Is ready to play a significant role in an outstanding school’s next stage of development
