ABOUT THE COMMUNITY
Berens River School caters to students from Nursery through Grade 9, with approximately 400 enrolled learners. Nestled on the eastern shore of Lake Winnipeg, Berens River boasts a population of about 3,546 residents and is located a four-hour drive north of Winnipeg. This charming lakeside community offers essential services, including a general store, Northern store, and a community hall. The area is rich in recreational opportunities, featuring a variety of outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, and canoeing.

WHAT YOU BRING
• A Bachelor of Education Degree and a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility to obtain one).
• A thorough understanding of the provincial curricula.
• Prior experience teaching Music, encompassing singing and various instruments.
• Competence in utilizing school-based technology.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life (considered an asset).
• Experience in a northern community (considered an asset).
