About This Role
Qatar Foundation - Academic Bridge Program (ABP) is inviting applications from qualified candidates to join our dynamic English department as part of our collaborative teaching team for college-level students.
The ABP is a rigorous, one-year integrated program designed to enhance skills in EFL, math, science, computing, and study strategies for students demonstrating high potential.
The English faculty will be tasked with delivering the English courses provided by the ABP, which include ESL and Academic English. In addition, faculty members will advise students to help them reach their academic goals and collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive program that aligns with the ABP's objectives. This full-time role entails 20 hours of classroom/lab instruction along with other responsibilities.
We are on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic EAL educator to be part of our vibrant teaching community, starting in August 2025.
This position is well-suited for an educator with the qualifications and training to teach at the associate degree level in English.
The Teacher will be responsible for implementing and developing the approved curriculum in their area of expertise, managing student behavior, and fulfilling teaching responsibilities as specified in the ABP handbook.

Additionally, they will be expected to:
- Deliver instruction in various English courses at the ABP using a student-centered, integrated methodology.
- Collaborate with team members and specialists to design and implement a program of study that adheres to curricular standards and meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students to enhance their learning.
- Work alongside faculty to ensure a seamless integration of the curriculum.
- Conduct engaging, well-structured classes, utilizing diverse instructional techniques, differentiation strategies, and appropriate media tailored to lesson objectives and student capabilities; provide guidance to students on enhancing and sustaining their academic performance.
- Promote and ensure the welfare of children and young individuals in accordance with PUE and regulatory safeguarding standards, including compliance with the PUE Child Protection Policy.
The successful candidate will also become part of the Academic Bridge Program, a distinctive institution within Qatar Foundation that prepares high school graduates for higher education.

Qualifications & Experience:
- A Master’s degree in English or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the community college or undergraduate level within a U.S. university, and/or three years as a master teacher at the high school level; experience using graphing calculators and computer algebra systems as teaching aids is essential.
- A good understanding of the application of mathematics across various fields, including engineering, medicine, business, and design is preferred.
- Experience teaching mathematics or EFL to international students is advantageous.
- A clear criminal record and successful background check.
- A clear medical history, including screenings for HIV, Hepatitis B and C, and Tuberculosis.
