About This Role

We are seeking a remarkable, creative, and passionate Secondary French teacher to join our British International School. ISCS is a British school that provides the Cambridge International curriculum to a diverse student body, which includes both Swiss and international learners. Our high-quality education spans from Early Years to Year 13. We strive to cultivate a strong community of students, parents, and a motivated ISCS team that collaborates to enhance opportunities for everyone involved.

As our student enrollment continues to increase each year, we are eager to add more exceptional professionals to our team. Currently, our class sizes range from 8 to 15 students.

We are looking for a talented Secondary French teacher to join our school starting August 2026, in alignment with the expansion of our Secondary Department. Candidates should have a genuine passion for teaching Secondary students within an inclusive setting. We are in search of individuals who are enthusiastic about providing high-quality education in an international environment, exhibit creativity in their teaching methods, and are committed to lifelong learning. The ideal candidate will be flexible, embrace challenges, and excel as an effective classroom practitioner.

What we are looking for:

The successful applicant for this teaching role should meet the following qualifications:

  • A robust Bachelor's Degree
  • A recognized teaching qualification: PGCE or equivalent
  • Relevant teaching experience in a UK or international setting, particularly with the Cambridge International Curriculum or the National Curriculum of England and Wales
  • Experience teaching French at the Secondary level, with a focus on IGCSE and A level.
  • Proficiency in English
  • A thorough understanding of Teaching & Learning pedagogy
  • An innovative and inspiring teaching style
  • High expectations for both students and colleagues
  • Familiarity with technology to enhance the learning experience
  • A professional demeanor consistent with the Teachers’ Standards
  • Adaptability in teaching approaches
  • Experience in developing Schemes of Learning and adapting to curriculum changes
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A B or C permit to work and reside in Switzerland is preferred.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
