About This Role

JESS Dubai is a leading British International School in the UAE, rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DSIB). Recognised globally, JESS is consistently ranked among the top 15 private schools in the Middle East and the top 100 in the world.

We are incredibly proud of the results achieved by our students. JESS has soared to the top 1% in global IB rankings and, every year, celebrates students achieving the perfect IB Diploma score of 45/45, placing them among the top 0.02% worldwide. An impressive 85% of BTEC students gain the maximum grades possible of D*D*D*, and our GCSE results remain strong with our average outcomes seeing 30% graded 9, 54% graded 8-9, 77% graded 7-9 and 92% graded 6-9. This reputation and these outcomes are forged through the high, exacting expectations we have of our staff and students.

JESS strives to be a regional leader in academics, pastoral care, digital innovation, and co-curricular opportunities. Our teachers go the extra mile to support our ambition for students to make a difference in the world. We promote a supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to show curiosity, excellence, commitment, respect, integrity, and care.

The reality of aspiring to these standards for a JESS teacher is that: there are high expectations regarding commitment to continuing professional development and standards of classroom practice; teachers must be fully involved within a busy, demanding system of pastoral care; exceptionally high standards of student progress and attainment are expected to be maintained; and all staff fully contribute to our world-class co-curricular programme.

The rewards are considerable: working with motivated, polite, and eager-to-learn students; opportunities to advance professional credentials through extensive CPD; being part of a school that leads in tech and digital innovation; and joining a team that achieves outstanding academic outcomes with a diverse, non-selective cohort.

At JESS we promote a supportive learning environment where students always feel determined to do their best.
