About the Role

Milton School is seeking a caring, reliable, and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to support pupils with personal care needs during the school day. This is a rewarding role where you will make a meaningful difference to a child’s comfort, dignity, and ability to access education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care support to pupils, including toileting, changing, and hygiene, in line with individual care plans
  • Support pupils’ physical wellbeing while maintaining dignity, privacy, and respect
  • Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and other professionals to ensure pupils’ needs are met
  • Follow school policies on safeguarding, health & safety, and infection control
  • Keep accurate records where required and communicate effectively with staff and parents/carers

About You

  • A kind, patient, and compassionate approach
  • Ability to work discreetly and professionally with children
  • Willingness to undertake training in personal care, manual handling, and safeguarding
  • Experience working with children or in a care setting is desirable but not essential
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Compensation

£26,403.00 - £27,254.00 Annually (FTE) Actual Salary £19,947 to £20,590 Term Time only Plus 5 days. 8.30am to 3.30pm
