About you:
We are in search of an outstanding and innovative Second in Faculty – Art & Design Technology to help lead and develop a vibrant and creative department across all key stages.
This middle leadership role will report to the Head of Faculty and involves maintaining an active teaching commitment in Art and Design Technology while significantly contributing to enhancing the quality of teaching, learning, and curriculum development.
About you:
We seek a teacher and aspiring leader who:
- Holds a relevant degree in Art, Design, or a related field, in addition to a PGCE (or equivalent) and QTS.
- Demonstrates a proven history of delivering high-quality teaching in Art and/or Design Technology, resulting in positive student outcomes.
- Exhibits the capability to transition into middle leadership, supporting the strategic vision while exemplifying excellent classroom practices.
- Aids the Head of Faculty in implementing a creative, innovative, and well-structured curriculum across all key stages.
- Contributes to the mentoring and development of colleagues, promoting a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Is passionate about fostering creativity, design thinking, and problem-solving skills in students.
- Actively shapes and delivers a rich co-curricular programme including exhibitions, competitions, and enrichment opportunities.
- Is proficient in employing technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning in Art and Design Technology.
- Utilizes assessment and data effectively to support student progress and elevate achievement.
- Communicates excellently, fostering strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Brings enthusiasm, creativity, and initiative, inspiring students and contributing to the growth of the department.
