Job Role
The aim is to cultivate a passion for literature and language by providing engaging lessons across Key Stages 3–5, while guiding students towards achieving outstanding academic results.
Job Responsibilities
•
Design and implement stimulating English lessons that adhere to the curriculum
•
Instruct on a variety of literature and language subjects, encouraging critical thinking and creativity
•
Evaluate, monitor, and track student performance, offering timely and constructive feedback
•
Adapt teaching methods to cater to the diverse needs of all learners, including those for whom English is an additional language
•
Prepare students for both internal and external assessments
•
Engage in curriculum development and departmental initiatives
•
Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere in the classroom
•
Actively take part in school events, provide pastoral care, and pursue professional development opportunities
Job Requirements
•
Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field
•
Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE / B.Ed. or equivalent)
•
Demonstrated experience teaching English at the secondary level within a British curriculum school (preferably in the UAE)
•
In-depth knowledge of GCSE/IGCSE and A-Level systems
•
Outstanding classroom management and communication abilities
•
Dedication to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
