Position Overview
We are in search of a fully qualified and experienced Teacher of Mathematics to become a part of our enthusiastic and dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for teaching, a dedication to the comprehensive education of children, and be a collaborative team member aligned with the school’s ethos, values, and objectives.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· A recognized degree in Mathematics or a relevant field from an accredited institution, along with a PGCE, QTS, or another internationally recognized teaching qualification.
· A minimum of three years’ experience teaching mathematics across KS3–5, demonstrating a successful track record in I/GCSE and A Level examinations.
· Exhibit excellent classroom practices, ideally with external verification.
· Have a strong understanding of effective teaching methods, learning processes, and the strategic use of assessments to enhance learning and utilize data effectively.
· Demonstrate the influence of teaching on the progress of individual groups and cohorts of students.
· Be prepared to work with small groups of students, including those with special educational needs, to deliver focused support and ensure their progress.
· Show a commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
· Be adept in using Microsoft Office/Office 365 applications; experience with SIMS is an added advantage.
· Possess thorough knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection best practices, with recent, relevant training.
· Participate in and/or lead a diverse range of extracurricular school activities.
· Be an excellent team player, supportive of the Catholic ethos, values, and aims of the school, and dedicated to the holistic education of children.
· Offer pastoral, academic, and behavioral support to students.
· Keep accurate records of student progress and engage in formal assessment processes.
· Assist parents with referrals to external agencies as necessary.
· Work collaboratively with parents, staff, and students on Individual Education Plans.
· Communicate effectively with parents through reports and meetings.
· Engage in and lead extracurricular activities.
Salary and Benefits:
· Competitive salary between CI$55,000 - CI$68,500 per annum, tax-free, based on experience and qualifications.
