We are on the lookout for a qualified Prep School Counsellor to become a part of our team and enhance the well-being of our prep school pupils. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in advocating for positive mental health, offering guidance, and assisting students in building resilience within our UK curriculum framework.
Position: Prep School Counsellor
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Experience: A minimum of 5 years in school counselling or related fields
Curriculum: United Kingdom (UK)
Education Stage: Prep School
Skills and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline; relevant educational certifications are preferred
- At least 5 years of experience as a school counsellor or in a similar role with primary-aged children
- A comprehensive understanding of child development and emotional well-being at the elementary level
- Experience in executing counselling programs that conform to UK curriculum standards
- Proven ability to effectively conduct both individual and group counselling sessions
- Excellent communication skills, enabling interaction with children, parents, teachers, and staff from varied backgrounds
- Proficient in conflict resolution, behaviour management techniques, and crisis intervention strategies
- Familiarity with safeguarding policies and procedures applicable in international educational settings
