Your responsibilities will include:
•
Designing and delivering engaging PE lessons (KS3–KS4; KS5/IB DP preferred) in line with the Cambridge/UK curriculum.
•
Enhancing students’ physical literacy, fitness, teamwork, leadership, and resilience through a diverse range of activities (games, athletics, fitness, swimming preferred).
•
Utilizing assessments to guide instruction and interventions; offering timely, constructive feedback to both students and parents.
•
Leading or supporting co-curricular sports (teams, training sessions, fixtures, tournaments, sports days) and contributing to overall school wellbeing initiatives.
•
Ensuring exemplary practices in safeguarding, inclusion, risk assessments, and health & safety within PE areas and events.
•
Working closely within the PE department on curriculum development, data analysis, and enrichment opportunities.
About you:
•
A degree in Physical Education / Sport Science (or a closely related discipline) along with a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE/QTS or equivalent).
•
Proven experience teaching PE within the Cambridge and/or UK curriculum; demonstrated success at IGCSE/GCSE PE (A-Level or IB DP Sports Science is a plus).
•
Strong practical and classroom teaching skills, inclusive strategies for multilingual learners, and proficient use of digital tools (video analysis, performance tracking, Google/Microsoft).
•
Coaching certifications and/or officiating credentials (e.g., netball/football/athletics/swimming) are highly regarded; First Aid/Lifeguard qualifications are desirable.
