Your roles and responsibilities

• As part of the School Leadership Team (SLT), the Co-Principal works collaboratively with their Co-Principal counterpart and the School Business Manager to lead the academic programs of the school. This role aims to foster a safe and harmonious environment conducive to high-quality teaching and learning, while ensuring the School consistently improves and pursues excellence within the approved budget.

• You will be tasked with providing vision and leadership for the school in alignment with the Organization’s overarching Vision, Mission, Principles, and Practices. You will create, sustain, and enhance the conditions that allow both students and teachers to achieve effective learning, ensuring that the school’s goals and objectives are met in accordance with the Organization’s policies and national educational strategies.

Your relevant experience and competencies:

• A demonstrated successful history in a principal role within an inclusive, multicultural school setting that upholds high achievement standards for students, underpinned by a culture of high expectations and active family involvement.

• A global perspective, growth mindset, and future orientation that are evident in the shared vision, policies, practices, pedagogy, and all operational aspects of a school.

• Proficient in leadership, relationship-building, team development, and communication (in both English and/or Chinese, spoken and written) relevant to various stakeholder groups (including government entities, school leaders and teachers, as well as parent and student communities) aimed at fostering engagement, inspiring action and positive change, and building trust and partnerships.

• Possess agility and innovative problem-solving skills to effectively address complex challenges arising from the evolving educational landscape.

• Committed and resilient in delivering high-quality outcomes while holding yourself and others accountable.

• A solid understanding of one or more educational systems, including IB, A-level, AP, DSE, and/or national curriculums, along with their relevant pathways to higher education in Mainland China and Hong Kong SAR.
