Creators, a forward-thinking STEM-oriented school set to launch in Southern Spain for gifted students, is on the lookout for an outstanding leader to guide our Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science departments. About the Role: We seek a forward-thinking leader with a deep passion for fostering innovative STEM education. You will cultivate skills in technology, research, and inquiry, inspiring both students and educators. Your leadership will be key in developing a transformative learning environment, establishing a vibrant and dynamic department where staff and students are empowered to enhance their STEM capabilities, utilize them effectively, and achieve their aspirations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor a team of innovative and reflective educators.
• Teach classes in one or more of the subjects and exemplify effective teaching and learning practices in your classroom.
• Cultivate a love for learning while enhancing knowledge and understanding in mathematics, physics, and computer science.
• Develop and execute a pioneering approach to STEM education.
• Create an environment that fosters entrepreneurial spirit and creativity.
• Motivate students to excel in IGCSE and A-Level exams, international Olympiads, and competitions.
• Ensure mastery of subjects and excellence in curriculum design.
• Formulate strategies to enable talented students to achieve exceptional levels in both academic and extracurricular activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
• A master’s degree or doctorate in one of the subject areas is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and a successful track record in a similar head of department or academic leadership role. Experience in UK or British International schools will be advantageous.
