About This Role

GEMS Education is on the lookout for a skilled and passionate Primary SENCO to become a part of our Inclusion Team in Dubai. This is a remarkable chance for a motivated, dedicated, and highly organized individual who is enthusiastic about assisting students of determination and ensuring that inclusion is a fundamental aspect of our school environment.

In this role, reporting to the Head of Inclusion, you will be instrumental in fostering high-quality, compliant, and impactful provisions throughout the primary phase. We are in search of a proactive team player with strong leadership skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep commitment to excellence in inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist the Head of Inclusion in executing the school’s strategic vision, Inclusion Policy, and ensuring full compliance with KHDA/DSIB standards.
• Oversee and evaluate support for students of determination in the Primary sector, including IEPs/pupil profiles, intervention planning, and alternative pathways.
• Guarantee that all inclusion-related documentation—such as PPs, IEPs, assessments, reports, and external records—is produced accurately, consistently, and within stipulated deadlines.
• Perform quality assurance tasks including learning walks, data analysis, impact assessments, lesson planning support, and preparation for inspections.
• Lead, deploy, and nurture Inclusion Teachers and Learning Support Assistants, ensuring they receive high-quality coaching, performance evaluations, and opportunities for professional development.
• Monitor and analyze student data to track progress and assess the effectiveness of provisions and interventions.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, LSAs, parents, and external specialists to ensure effective communication and coordinated support.
• Offer guidance on differentiation, inclusive strategies, and in-class support.
• Assist with admissions processes, transition planning, and accessibility arrangements for students of determination.

Requirements
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (mandatory).
• Postgraduate qualification or certification in SEN/Inclusion (mandatory).
• Additional training in inclusive education, intervention strategies, or educational psychology is a plus.

Experience
• A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a SENCO, Inclusion Lead, or similar position within a primary school environment.
• Proven track record of supporting students of determination with diverse needs.
• Strong awareness of KHDA/DSIB inclusion expectations and the Dubai Inclusive Education Policy Framework.
• Demonstrated experience in managing data, overseeing interventions, and maintaining precise documentation.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively, support teamwork, and provide hands-on assistance in classrooms.

Compensation

£35,000 - £55,000 (Tax-Free Equivalent)
*Estimated range based on regional data averages.
