Performing Arts Instructor - Dr. Brass School
The Fine Arts Academy is searching for a passionate and talented instructor for the academic year 2026-2027. This program serves students in grades 5 through 8, providing them with an enriched and focused education in the performing arts. The instructor will lead students in exploring drama, dance, and music, fostering their growth as confident performers across different artistic avenues. Classes will be held in the afternoons, concentrating on advanced techniques where students will enhance their acting skills, experiment with improvisation and monologues, and combine dance, acting, and vocal abilities in musical theatre. Additionally, students will have opportunities to display their talents in various productions throughout the year. Given the diverse age groups and varying levels of experience among students, the ideal applicant should have a robust background in differentiated instruction within the performing arts.
Position Details:
Temporary Part-Time Teacher Assignment: .45 FTE
Term: Starts August 26, 2026
Responsibilities:
The chosen candidate will have:
- Proficiency in dance, drama, musical theatre, and choreography
- A strong background in arts education and performing arts
- Previous experience in developing, implementing, and managing programs
- A history of community engagement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education degree or an equivalent qualification
- Must possess or be eligible for a Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate
- Experience instructing in various strands of performing arts (drama, dance, music)
- Relevant education, certifications, and qualifications related to teaching in the performing arts
Salary & Benefits:
Salary will be in accordance with the current STF Salary Grid.
