The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Teacher of Physical Education who is passionate about delivering outstanding PE lessons and motivating students to improve their physical skills, self-confidence, and overall health. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging, dynamic, and inclusive PE lessons
  • Design and implement a curriculum centered on fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship
  • Organize and oversee extracurricular sports activities, competitions, and school events
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive
  • Assess student progress effectively and provide constructive feedback
  • Remain updated with current subject and curriculum information
  • Participate in the broader school life, including enrichment programs
  • Engage in professional development activities, including INSET and CPD

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • A recognized teaching qualification (B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent) from a UK university
  • Proven experience teaching Physical Education within a British curriculum setting
  • Strong competencies in lesson planning and curriculum development
  • A passion for teaching and a dedication to student achievement
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Desirable:

  • Experience in teaching Physical Education within a British curriculum context
  • Recent teaching experience in the UK
  • Background in swimming instruction, complemented by a recognized swimming instructor qualification
  • Interest or experience in teaching across various age groups
