About Us

The English Schools Foundation (ESF) is the largest English-medium international school organization in Hong Kong. Our 22 schools and wide range of extracurricular activities aim to unlock every student's potential through a personalized approach to learning that nurtures curiosity.

About the Team

South Island School is a dynamic, innovative institution located in a green area on the southern side of Hong Kong Island. It serves 1,440 students from around 40 different nationalities. The school takes pride in its strong values-based philosophy, international outlook, personalized curriculum, and high academic standards. It focuses on developing students' personal qualities, fostering a skill set that is both creative and modern, while promoting community responsibility under the banner 'Making a Difference'. The school is inclusive and offers excellent support for students with diverse individual needs. It is authorized by the IBO to deliver the MYP (Years 1-3), the IBDP, and the IBCP.
