The Opportunity

Barnsley College is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, and dedicated GCSE Maths Teacher to become a valuable member of our vibrant Business Department. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a committed educator to provide exceptional Maths instruction that inspires students and aids their journey into employment, further education, or apprenticeships.

You will be instrumental in teaching GCSE Maths to learners aged 16-18, as well as adult students, and delivering Functional Skills Maths to adults. Your efforts will help students to overcome challenges, build self-esteem, and earn the qualifications necessary for their future success. Additionally, this position will involve evening classes to ensure we meet the learning needs of our adult students flexibly.

As part of our supportive, innovative, and friendly Maths and English team, you will collaborate with colleagues to ensure high achievement, exemplary teaching practices, and enriching learner experiences. Key Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Degree in Mathematics (or equivalent qualification)
  • TQUK Level 5 Certificate in Education and Training (RQF)
  • 2 years’ experience working in an educational setting
