Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Entrepreneurship & Business Mentor (Primary & Secondary) to lead, support, and advance entrepreneurship education throughout our institution. This position entails working closely with the Secondary Team and the SPARK Team to promote entrepreneurial thinking and project-based learning. You will report to the Assistant Director of Learning, who will offer guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. The role encompasses: Teaching Entrepreneurship at both Primary and Secondary levels. Delivering iGCSE and/or BTEC Business Studies during the Secondary phase. Ensuring a well-structured and effectively managed Entrepreneurship Curriculum from EYFS through Year 10. Playing an active role in Global Entrepreneurship Week alongside colleagues and external partners. This opportunity is ideal for a mentor who values collaboration, shared leadership, and intentional innovation. Key Responsibilities 1. Curriculum Delivery & Development Teach Entrepreneurship across Primary and Secondary levels, adapting methods to developmental stages while upholding consistent expectations. Deliver iGCSE and/or BTEC Business Studies, ensuring exceptional outcomes and practical comprehension. Work in partnership with the Assistant Director of Learning and SPARK Team to refine the Entrepreneurship Curriculum from EYFS to Year 10. Participate in creating impactful assessments that reflect entrepreneurial thinking, self-reflection, and practical application. 2. Inquiry-Based & Project-Based Learning Incorporate inquiry-based approaches that inspire learners to ask questions, explore options, and formulate solutions. Collaborate with Secondary colleagues and the SPARK Team to strengthen the entrepreneurial elements of Project-Based Learning. Support learners in applying business concepts and enterprise principles in authentic, real-world contexts. 3. Global Entrepreneurship Week Team up to design and implement Global Entrepreneurship Week, ensuring it is engaging, meaningful, and aligned with Citizens’ vision. Build partnerships with entrepreneurs, industry professionals, and the wider community to enrich student experiences. Assist in showcasing students' learning, creativity, and entrepreneurial insights through events and exhibitions. 4. Personalised Learner Experience Uphold the Citizens principle of “Everyone known and known well.” Foster positive relationships that enhance student confidence, ownership, and resilience. Guide learners in developing leadership, collaboration, and reflective capabilities. 5. Team Contribution & Professional Culture Work collaboratively as part of the Secondary Team and SPARK Team, sharing insights and expertise. Engage in professional discussions, planning, and reflection with a constructive attitude. Participate in meetings and professional development with intention, clarity, and a growth mindset. Display professionalism, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Qualifications and Skills A degree in Business, Economics, Entrepreneurship, or a related discipline. Experience teaching Business Studies (iGCSE and/or BTEC). A strong interest in and understanding of entrepreneurial education for students. Apply via the WhatSchool platform.
