Teaching Assistant
About This Role
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our Primary team of excellent teachers at Wey Valley College (WVC). The role is a permanent position for 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday, term time. The successful candidate will have excellent support skills and good all-round knowledge of supporting the education of students and an understanding of special education, mainstream education and / or Pupil Referral Units.
WVC is a 5 - 16 Alternative Provision school and we are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to complement our Key stage 1 & 2 curriculum.
The successful candidate will be:
Passionate about inclusion and making sure all students gain an inspirational education.
An outstanding practitioner with high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour who is committed to providing high quality support for all children.
Able to maintain and drive forward outstanding standards whilst meeting the needs of a very vulnerable group of students.
An excellent communicator, able to work inclusively with pupils, staff, parents, Management Committee and other stakeholders.
