About This Role

Summary:
The Subject Director is a key member of the Organization's academic leadership team, responsible for overseeing curriculum development, ensuring high teaching quality, and promoting the professional growth of teachers in the Maths subject area. By encouraging collaboration across campuses and embracing interdisciplinary methods, the Subject Director guarantees that the teaching aligns with international education standards (such as IG, A-Level, IB, DSE, etc.) while consistently enhancing student learning outcomes and nurturing innovative skills.

Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Development
- Lead the planning, design, and revision of subject curricula, ensuring a balance of academic rigor, global perspectives, and regional significance.
- Develop interdisciplinary projects (such as STEAM, PBL, etc.) that align with trends in educational research and address student needs, fostering innovative teaching practices.
- Oversee the execution of curricula, continuously evaluating and refining course materials, teaching resources, and assessment tools.

2. Teaching Support and Teacher Development
- Provide professional development, instructional support, and constructive feedback from classroom observations to subject teachers across campuses, elevating overall teaching quality.
- Cultivate a community for subject educators by organizing research projects, workshops, and platforms for resource sharing to encourage the exchange of effective teaching practices.
- Support the recruitment and evaluation of subject teachers and contribute to their professional development plans.

3. Academic Quality Management
- Set teaching standards and assessment frameworks for the subject, monitoring their implementation across campuses to ensure educational goals are met.
- Analyze student performance data and feedback, leading initiatives to enhance teaching methods and intervention strategies.
- Regularly compile subject development reports for management, including effectiveness analyses, challenges faced, and plans for improvement.

4. Interdisciplinary and Cross-Campus Collaboration
- Collaborate with other Subject Directors to create interdisciplinary courses or projects that promote holistic education and the development of core competencies.
- Coordinate resources among campuses to address common challenges in subject teaching, ensuring curriculum consistency.
- Represent the Organization at international education conferences or collaborative projects, enhancing the subject area’s visibility.

Qualifications and Experience:

Educational Background and Experience:
- A Master’s degree or higher, preferably in educational leadership, curriculum and instruction, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of teaching experience, including a minimum of 3 years in roles such as subject group leader, curriculum developer, or teacher trainer.
- Familiarity with international curriculum frameworks (like IG, A-Level, IB, DSE) and assessment criteria.

Core Competencies:
- Outstanding curriculum design capabilities, with proficiency in integrating educational technologies (such as AI and digital tools) to boost teaching effectiveness.
- Strong leadership and teamwork abilities, skilled in cross-cultural communication and managing diverse teams.
- Proficient in data-driven decision-making, using analysis of learning outcomes to inform instructional improvements.
- Bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English (both written and spoken), thriving in a bilingual environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in multinational educational institutions or overseeing multiple campuses is advantageous.
- Published research in subject teaching or participation in international education projects is a plus.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
