About This Role

British Academy School Marrakech (BASM) is actively seeking fully qualified and experienced Primary Teachers (QTS) to join our dynamic and growing school community, with positions available immediately or as soon as possible.

The School

BASM is a BSO Accredited, privately funded institution catering to primary and secondary education in Marrakech, Morocco. Our mission is to provide the best elements of British education within Morocco. Emphasizing our motto, Belong, Achieve, Become, we strive to create a nurturing environment where students feel connected and are inspired to exceed their expectations, cultivating self-confidence and preparing them to be globally aware citizens ready to seize opportunities.

Our curriculum aligns with the England & Wales National Curriculum, delivered by qualified educators fluent in English, culminating in (I)GCSE qualifications.

The Role

We are in search of highly qualified teachers with expertise in the England & Wales National Curriculum. The successful applicant will be tasked with delivering the complete curriculum to students. Dedicated teachers handle specialist subjects such as French, Arabic, Music, and PE. A strong enthusiasm for motivating students and fostering an engaging educational experience is essential. Candidates should maintain a positive demeanor and commit to excellence for students, parents, and fellow staff members.

At BASM, teachers are expected to demonstrate strong subject expertise and work collaboratively, reflecting on their teaching practices while contributing to the school’s ethos and vision. Beyond their teaching responsibilities, staff members also engage in pastoral care, supporting the overall development of students and fostering meaningful connections within the school community.

All instruction is conducted in English, and language proficiency will be assessed during the application process. Candidates must possess a valid teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) and have a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a British educational context.

Our school is committed to equal opportunities, safeguarding, and promoting the welfare of children, and we require all staff and volunteers to uphold this commitment. The British Academy School Marrakech is steadfast in its mission to safeguard and promote children's welfare. All applicants should be prepared for recruitment screening, which includes interviews, reference checks from previous employers, and a Criminal Background check from all countries of adult residence. Additionally, the school will conduct an online search, including social media profiles, which shortlisted candidates will need to share with HR.

Applicants must disclose any past convictions, cautions, and bind-overs, including those deemed 'spent'. All information provided will be treated confidentially. We encourage all applicants, irrespective of the role, to review BASM’s safeguarding policy available on our school website.
