About The British School of Barcelona - BSB The British School of Barcelona (BSB) is a prestigious educational establishment located in an ideal setting. As a member of HMC, we recently underwent an evaluation by the British Schools Overseas (BSO) Inspection, achieving an exceptional rating across all categories. BSB serves a diverse student body ranging from ages 3 to 18, and is recognized for its size and reputation. Our educational framework is rooted in the English National Curriculum, featuring an extensive selection of GCSEs, A Levels, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma, alongside a comprehensive enrichment programme. With a community of over 2,000 students representing more than 74 nationalities and a dedicated staff exceeding 315, BSB operates from three campuses: Castelldefels, the heart of Barcelona, and the vibrant town of Sitges. The expansion of the school has been supported by considerable investments in recent years, which include the establishment of a state-of-the-art Pre-University Centre (Nexus), a full-sized 4G rugby and football pitch, specialized STEM facilities, and the new BSB City campuses. BSB Sites Barcelona is celebrated as one of the world's most lively and culturally diverse cities. BSB City is our British international campus designed for children aged 3-18, ideally situated in central Barcelona. This campus offers our international, forward-thinking BSB education to students from Early Years through to Pre-University. BSB City consists of two buildings that encompass all educational levels: the Foundation Campus and the Luca Campus. The Foundation Campus, an inspiring facility located in Sarrià-Sant Gervasi, is now welcoming our youngest learners. The impressive BSB City Luca Campus was inaugurated in September 2023, further enhancing our educational offerings in Barcelona for Pre-University students. Both the BSB Castelldefels (Primary and Secondary) and BSB Sitges (Primary) campuses are just minutes away from stunning beaches and are well-serviced by public transport. The BSB Castelldefels campus features modern, purpose-built facilities for Early Years, Primary, and Secondary students. This carefully designed environment promotes effective teaching and learning, resulting in consistently high achievement standards. The BSB Maresme campus is set to open in September 2026 for students aged 3 to 11 and will subsequently extend its offerings to include Secondary students starting in September 2027. With a commitment to excellence, top-tier facilities, and a strong emphasis on innovation and academic quality within a community-focused framework, the BSB Maresme campus will adhere to the established and successful educational model of BSB. BSB Nexus is a dedicated campus for students aged 16 to 18 located in Castelldefels, in proximity to the BSB Castelldefels campus. It offers an authentic Pre-University experience with specialized study and social areas that foster independent learning and the development of essential 21st-century skills in preparation for university and future careers. BSB Sitges provides a distinctive learning atmosphere for Early Years (beginning at 2 years old) and Primary students.
