The Role
As an Assistant Headteacher, you will:
Be a role model for the highest quality classroom teaching
Model consistently high-quality teaching and learning
Drive standards and pupil outcomes, especially for vulnerable pupils
Lead on key areas across the school
Support and develop colleagues through coaching and professional dialogue
Work closely with senior leaders to evaluate impact and inform school improvement priorities
This role requires a leader who combines high expectations with emotional intelligence, strategic thinking and a deep understanding of how children learn.

Has a proven track record of securing strong pupil progress and outcomes, especially for vulnerable children
Demonstrates strong leadership potential or experience within key areas of school improvement
Has excellent curriculum knowledge and understands progression across the primary phase
Models reflective, evidence-informed classroom practice
Holds high expectations for all pupils academically and personally
Builds strong, professional relationships with children, families and colleagues
Is adaptable, strategic and committed to continuous professional learning
Contributes positively to a collaborative and ambitious team ethos
