Teacher – Key Stage 2 (3 Vacancies across Key Stages, Year 3-6) (Job Ref# A129-24-25)
The ideal candidate will be tasked with delivering a broad, balanced, relevant, and tailored English National Curriculum that addresses the learning needs of all Key Stage 2 students. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area along with an internationally recognized teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, Bachelor of Education, or H.Dip.Ed, and possess a minimum of three years of pertinent teaching experience. Additional teaching responsibilities may be assigned as needed by the school.
In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, the role will encompass, but not be limited to:
- Teaching the curriculum to designated students, tailored to their individual educational requirements.
- Collaborating with parallel class teachers, subject leaders, and learning support staff to prepare long, medium, and short-term plans for all subjects taught.
- Offering adapted learning opportunities to support, meet, and challenge the diverse needs of all learners.
- Assessing students’ work promptly in accordance with school policies.
- Keeping accurate records of students’ progress and achievements, utilizing assessment data to inform planning and instruction.
- Fostering and maintaining positive relationships with all members of the school community.
- Creating and sustaining a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
- Engaging in various extracurricular activities, including leading clubs.
- Actively demonstrating a passion for education and a strong commitment to being an integral part of the CPHS community.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Required
- Up-to-date knowledge and experience of the revised English National Curriculum 2014 is essential.
- A standout classroom practitioner, enthusiastic about creating independent lessons with creative and innovative strategies.
- Proficient in using Management Information Systems (SIMS) and Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Word and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, ensuring all records are current.
- Exceptional enthusiasm and a proactive approach to teaching and teamwork.
- A commitment to fully supporting and embracing the Christian ethos of the school.
- Prior experience in a multicultural international school setting is advantageous.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for the positions mentioned above ranges from CI$49,700.00 to CI$69,700.00 per annum, based on experience and aligned with the school’s salary scale. Benefits include:
