About This Role

Employed by: NCBIS - to embody the vision, positive ethos, and policies of the institution.

Responsible to: Deputy Head (Academic)/Head of Department.

Qualifications: Degree and PGCE, QTS, or an equivalent teaching qualification.

Experience: At least 3 years of teaching or relevant experience required.

New Cairo British International School (NCBIS) is on the lookout for an outstanding full-time Secondary Teacher of English.

What about the Secondary School?

Within the secondary school, students follow the English National Curriculum at Key Stage 3, assessed through the Pearson Progression Scale and GL Assessment (PTM/PTE/PTS).

During Key Stage 4, students take the Edexcel International GCSE examinations in Year 11.

At Key Stage 5, we provide both the International A-Levels program and the IB Diploma Programme as two distinct pathways in Years 12 and 13.

- Possess proven experience in teaching IBDP and/or A Level or express a willingness to engage in fully-funded overseas training.

- Display excellent interpersonal skills and a strong sense of teamwork.
- Be capable of incorporating ICT into their teaching approaches.
