About This Role
Bream Bay College is situated in Ruakākā, Northland– a proud community-focused school serving the stunning Bream Bay area.
Our school culture reflects the unique history of our region, connecting the first people of our area, Patuharakeke, the first modern immigrants from Scotland and the many other cultures that are now part of the fabric of our region.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced specialist teacher who is a passionate advocate for inclusive education to work with students funded through the Ongoing Resourcing Scheme (ORS).
This vital role focuses on providing specialised educational support for students with high and very high learning needs, ensuring they receive a quality, tailored education.
You will be part of a fantastic learning support team to deliver flexible, learner-centered, and future-focused learning.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
- work with 3 neurodivergent students for a total of 8 hours per week with 2 extra hours for planning
- deliver a programme that supports our students to progress
- contribute to the development and preparation of teaching resources
- collaborate with teachers, whānau, and other support staff to ensure the wellbeing and success of our neurodivergent students.
NOTE: Fixed term may be extended.
