Helston Day Nursery, part of Helston Community College, are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Nursery Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team from November 2026.

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Nursery Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting children’s learning and development by:
Providing high-quality care and learning experiences for children aged 0 – 5 years.
Planning and delivering engaging, creative, and age-appropriate activities.
Supporting children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Contributing to the ongoing development and success of our nursery provision.
What We’re Looking for:
We are looking for someone who:
Holds a recognised Early Years and Childcare qualification [Level 2 or above, or equivalent].
Has experience working within an early years setting.
Understands the importance of play-based learning and child-centred practice.
Is creative, enthusiastic, and genuinely passionate about working with young children.
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience working with babies would be an advantage, but is not essential.
