Instructors for The One

Academia Cotopaxi is looking for Instructors for The One to offer short-term support within our English Language Acquisition programs. These instructors will focus on providing outstanding English instruction that actively involves students and enhances their language skills. They play a crucial role in helping students develop the essential language competencies required for success at Academia Cotopaxi, while also embodying the school’s mission, values, and classroom expectations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Fluency in English at the C2 level or as a native speaker is mandatory.
• A valid teaching certification is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related discipline is essential.
• Experience in promoting active learning that values the diverse contributions of each student, while supporting co-constructed knowledge and concept-driven learning along with skills development.
• Demonstrated ability to apply effective classroom management techniques in settings that nurture student ownership, accountability, and a sense of community.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team to effectively assist students.
• A shared commitment to creating a welcoming classroom environment where students feel included and valued in the educational experience.
• Experience in using observations along with other assessment techniques to monitor student progress and ensure meaningful engagement for every learner.
• Familiarity with various technological tools for teaching and documenting student learning.
• Preferably, a minimum of two years’ experience as an ELS Instructor.
• Comfortable working alongside support teachers and other professionals to meet the unique needs of students.
