Job Overview
Bahlool British International School, a well-established British international school in Baghdad, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary School Teacher.

The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning within the Primary phase, supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes while fostering a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment. The Role

The successful candidate will:

Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across the Primary phase, ensuring good progress for all students

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the British curriculum

Assess, monitor and report on student progress, using data to inform teaching and support individual needs

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student wellbeing and behaviour

Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs and those who are more able

Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and school improvement

Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, attainment and wellbeing

Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and school events

Maintain high standards of safeguarding and student care at all times

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in education or a relevant subject

Recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE or equivalent)

Experience teaching within the Primary phase (British curriculum preferred)

Strong understanding of the British curriculum

Ability to plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons

Strong classroom management skills

Commitment to safeguarding, child protection and promoting student wellbeing

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Positive, flexible and professional approach

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
