What Will You Do?

The Lower School Assistant Principal / PYP Coordinator serves primarily as a leader in education—someone who unites people around a common vision for excellent, inquiry-driven learning.

As an integral member of the Lower School Leadership Team, you will be pivotal in maintaining the coherence, integrity, and continuous advancement of the PYP and the Lower School curriculum.

What Qualifications Do You Bring?


A thorough understanding of the IB Primary Years Programme, with the experience and capability to enhance understanding and capacity among others.


Leadership experience within an IB PYP international school, across various educational settings.


Advanced professional training or certification in a relevant area, along with a minimum of three years of successful experience in a similar leadership capacity.


A valid teaching certification and a proven record as an effective educator.


Proven ability to design and lead professional development for educators and workshops for parents.


Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English; proficiency in an additional language is a plus.


Strong grasp of technology’s effective application in enhancing student learning, with a willingness to embrace new technologies.


Experience with data-driven decision making, including data collection, analysis, visualization, and the utilization of curriculum and learning management systems.


Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle various responsibilities effectively.


Proven adaptability and professionalism when addressing complex or challenging situations.


Highly collaborative and consultative, able to work effectively with colleagues across various roles and teams.


Comfortable engaging in difficult conversations, managing professional disagreements, and fostering constructive dialogue to enhance practice.


Exhibits professionalism in supporting and executing agreed decisions while contributing thoughtfully to collective decision-making processes.


AI Literacy skills: comprehends AI principles, explores AI applications, directs AI effectively, assesses AI outputs, and utilizes AI responsibly.
