Head of Mathematics / Lead Practitioner - August 2026

Bloom World Academy is on the lookout for innovative and skilled professionals to fill the position of Head of Mathematics / Lead Practitioner for the Academic Year 2026/2027.

As an educator within the IB framework, you are expected to demonstrate a strong dedication to fostering international mindedness in your teaching and contribute to its growth throughout the school. A background in, or a solid understanding of, a student-centered inquiry-based learning methodology is essential. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal abilities and a successful history of developing and nurturing professional relationships, along with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

We are seeking experienced educators who are enthusiastic about empowering every student to learn and grow, and who can cultivate an environment in which all students can thrive. You will be able to instruct learners at various levels and have a demonstrated history of achieving exceptional student outcomes.

While experience with the IB program is highly valued, it is not mandatory as training will be provided. As a lead practitioner, you should be well-versed in designing enriching, engaging, and challenging learning experiences, possess a robust understanding of assessment and its application in the classroom, and most importantly, have a fervor for encouraging students to reach their full potential and beyond.

Required Candidate Profile

•
Proficient/advanced-level English language skills

•
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field, along with a PGCE in Education with QTS or its equivalent

•
Experience in teaching IB or GCSE subjects

•
At least four years of experience in reputable educational institutions

•
A proven record of achieving outstanding student performance

•
Exhibits professionalism, enthusiasm, commitment, and integrity

•
Possesses intercultural awareness, strong communication skills, and is eager to engage with students and parents

•
Ability to teach A Level/Further Maths or IBDP AA Higher Level would be highly advantageous
