About This Role

Aldar Academies is in search of an exceptional Teacher - Primary (KS1) to join Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi, starting March 2026.

Mamoura British Academy follows a British curriculum and serves a mixed-gender population until Year 8, transitioning to an all-girls format from Year 9 onwards. The school is housed in a modern facility situated in the center of Abu Dhabi. Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning:
- Possess a solid understanding of the curriculum.
- Organize classroom resources and create displays that foster a vibrant learning atmosphere.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons tailored to the diverse abilities within the classroom.
- Inspire students through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching methods.
- Assess and monitor student progress in accordance with school standards.
- Reflect on classroom practices, lesson effectiveness, and student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Collaborate with professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists when needed.
- Embed the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA principles throughout the curriculum.

Assessment and Data:
- Take ownership of class progress.
- Meet assessment and recording standards for student development using Target Tracker.
- Utilize assessment data to inform future planning, support, and interventions.
- Provide feedback to parents and guardians regarding student progress during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.

Behavior Management and Duties:
- Adhere to the school's behavior policy.
- Manage classrooms effectively, applying strategies that cater to students' needs to inspire and motivate them.
- Foster good relationships with students, exercising appropriate authority and decisiveness as needed within the behavioral framework.
- Serve as a positive role model, consistently demonstrating the attitudes, values, and behaviors expected of students.
- Maintain high behavior expectations, encouraging self-regulation and independence among all learners.
- Carry out assigned duties in accordance with school policy.

Wider Professional Responsibilities:
- Participate in a curriculum action group, assisting with planning, assessment, resources, and events related to that group.
- Engage in organizing and participating in school events, outings, and activities that may occur during weekends or evenings.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student achievements and well-being through school systems such as CPOMS when appropriate.
- Contribute positively to the broader life and ethos of the school.
- Facilitate a weekly ECA each term.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject with a PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification.

Minimum Experience:
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of teaching experience.

- Previous experience with students for whom English is not their first language.
- A strong passion for teaching and commitment to the holistic development of children.
- A high level of professionalism and a focus on children's well-being.
- Recent and ongoing involvement in extracurricular activities.
- Respect for all members of the school community, regardless of their position, gender, age, or ethnic background.
- A positive, solution-oriented approach to professional life.
- A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
