Curriculum

Our school adheres to the Pearson (Edexcel) British Curriculum for both IGCSE and A Level. Familiarity with teaching Pearson / Edexcel specifications is highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality instruction for IGCSE and A Level (Pearson / Edexcel)
• Plan and prepare lessons in accordance with Pearson specifications and assessment objectives
• Assist in the development and initiation of the new Sixth Form Department
• Contribute to curriculum planning, schemes of work, and internal assessments
• Ensure students are well-prepared for external examinations
• Monitor student progress and offer academic support as necessary
• Maintain exemplary standards of classroom management and professionalism
• Collaborate effectively with senior leaders and Sixth Form staff
• Engage in staff meetings, training sessions, and initiatives related to the Sixth Form

Person Specification

• British-trained teacher holding a recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject
• Demonstrated experience in teaching IGCSE and/or A Level
• Strong understanding of Pearson / Edexcel exam boards
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Passion for contributing to the establishment of a new Sixth Form
• Capacity to work both independently and as part of a developing team
• Experience in international schools or Sixth Form settings is a plus but not mandatory

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
