About This Role
Job Responsibilities:
•
Create, develop, and implement high-quality STEM lesson plans and curriculum that meet Cambridge and STEM standards.
•
Carry out the full spectrum of teaching responsibilities:
•
Craft lesson plans in alignment with the school's educational framework.
•
Deliver lessons that cater to a variety of student needs and learning preferences; ensure effective classroom management, organization, and control.
•
Conduct academic assessments to evaluate and categorize students based on their learning abilities and characteristics.
•
Complete necessary educational documentation such as attendance records, lesson plans, and worksheets.
•
Report on assigned duties as requested by the direct line manager, both on a regular basis and as necessary.
•
Work collaboratively with other departments within the school to support teaching and educational initiatives.
•
Ensure optimal use of resources, materials, and equipment.
•
Maintain professional and accurate communication with parents regarding students' academic progress, as needed.
•
Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills.
•
Contribute to the development of school programs as directed by the direct line manager.
•
Plan and present STEM displays and projects that highlight students' work for the school, community, and external evaluators.
•
Take part in school events such as activities, workshops, meetings, and conferences.
•
Perform additional tasks assigned by the Senior Leadership Team, including event coordination, field trips, and homeroom responsibilities.
Education Requirements:
•
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Pedagogy with a strong background in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Information Technology.
A recognized teaching qualification for the relevant age group (e.g. B.Ed., PGCE).
