Role Overview

We are on the lookout for an energetic and visionary Entrepreneurship & Business Mentor (Primary & Secondary) to teach, assist, and advance entrepreneurship education throughout the school.

This role involves collaboration with the Secondary Team and the SPARK Team to enhance entrepreneurial thinking and project-based learning. You will report to the Assistant Director of Learning, who will provide guidance, support, and opportunities for professional development.

The role includes:

- Teaching Entrepreneurship across both Primary and Secondary levels.
- Delivering iGCSE and/or BTEC Business Studies in the Secondary phase.
- Ensuring the Entrepreneurship Curriculum is coherent and managed effectively from EYFS through Year 10.
- Taking a prominent role in Global Entrepreneurship Week alongside colleagues and external partners.
- This position is well-suited for a mentor who appreciates teamwork, shared leadership, and purposeful innovation.

Key Responsibilities


1. Curriculum Delivery & Development

- Instruct Entrepreneurship across Primary and Secondary levels, tailoring approaches to developmental stages while maintaining consistent expectations.
- Teach iGCSE and/or BTEC Business Studies, ensuring excellent outcomes and practical understanding.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Learning and SPARK Team to enhance the Entrepreneurship Curriculum from EYFS to Year 10.
- Participate in designing meaningful assessments that capture entrepreneurial thinking, reflection, and practical application.

2. Inquiry-Based & Project-Based Learning

- Integrate inquiry-based methods that motivate learners to ask questions, explore possibilities, and devise solutions.
- Work with Secondary and SPARK colleagues to enhance the entrepreneurial aspect of Project-Based Learning.
- Assist learners in applying business and enterprise concepts in genuine, real-world scenarios.

3. Global Entrepreneurship Week

- Collaborate with a team to plan and execute Global Entrepreneurship Week, ensuring it is engaging, purposeful, and in line with Citizens’ vision.
- Foster partnerships with entrepreneurs, industry experts, and the broader community to enrich learner experiences.
- Help display learners' learning, creativity, and entrepreneurial thinking through events and exhibitions.

4. Personalised Learner Experience

- Embody the Citizens principle of “Everyone known and known well.”
- Cultivate positive relationships that bolster learner confidence, ownership, and resilience.
- Mentor learners in developing leadership, collaboration, and reflective skills.

5. Team Contribution & Professional Culture

- Collaborate effectively as part of the Secondary Team and SPARK Team, sharing ideas and expertise.
- Engage in professional dialogue, planning, and reflection with a positive attitude.
- Participate in meetings and professional learning with purpose, clarity, and a growth mindset.
- Exhibit professionalism, adaptability, and a commitment to ongoing improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

- A degree in Business, Economics, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
- Experience teaching Business Studies (iGCSE and/or BTEC).
- A keen interest in and understanding of entrepreneurial education across various age groups.
- Familiarity with inquiry-based and/or project-based learning methodologies.
- A valid teaching qualification along with a minimum of two years of teaching experience.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in using digital tools to enhance learning.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
