About This Role

Phorms School Frankfurt operates two campuses within the Frankfurt metropolitan region, providing education from nursery through secondary school. Our family-oriented Phorms Taunus Campus in Steinbach, nestled in a natural setting, offers around 700 children and adolescents the opportunity to learn German and English through an immersive approach starting in nursery. The Phorms Frankfurt Taunus Campus is noted for its vibrant and international community. Our dedicated pedagogical team across nursery, primary, and secondary levels supports students in their journey to become independent, open-minded, and globally aware individuals. Phorms Frankfurt is part of the Phorms Education SE network, which has contributed to the educational landscape in Germany since 2006.

We are currently seeking a qualified Head of Secondary School (part-time or full-time) for our Secondary School in Steinbach (Taunus) near Frankfurt.

Your Responsibilities

• Oversee the educational, organizational, and disciplinary management of the high school, reporting to the overall school management.

• Design and sustain educational quality within the high school.

• Lead, inspire, and develop the German- and English-speaking secondary team, while actively participating in personnel recruitment.

• Analyze, evaluate, and enhance teaching methods in line with pedagogical findings.

• Implement and assess learning evaluations supported by data and AI.

• Collaborate closely with overall school management, the local management team, school committees, supervisory authorities, and extracurricular partners.

• Engage in constructive and trusting cooperation with the works council in accordance with the Works Constitution Act (BetrVG).

Your Profile

• An empathetic individual with strong decision-making and motivational abilities, and a team-oriented mindset.

• Qualifications to teach at secondary schools or a comparable certification recognized by the Hessian school authority.

• Proficiency and experience in curriculum development and quality assurance related to school development.

• Experience in managing a secondary school or serving as a deputy head teacher.

• Comprehensive knowledge of personnel management and school administration.

• Familiarity with the legal and organizational framework governing alternative schools.

• A team-oriented and motivating leadership approach.

• Openness to innovation and a passion for international collaboration.

• Excellent German language skills (at least C1) and fluent English abilities, along with enthusiasm for bilingual education.
