Established in April 2007, the International School of Moscow was founded to meet the needs expressed by the international community in Moscow. Since December 2017, ISM has been part of the Nord Anglia Education family of schools.

Founded in 1972 in the United Kingdom, the name Nord Anglia reflects our origins in northern England. Initially, NAE provided services such as English-as-a-foreign-language classes and expanded during the 1980s by launching full-scale nurseries and kindergartens. In 1992, we opened our first international school, the British School of Warsaw. In the 2000s, we shifted our focus to premium international schools, rapidly expanding in Asia, the Americas, China, and across Europe and the Middle East. A truly international organization, NAE now operates premium international schools worldwide. In July 2019, we relocated our headquarters from Hong Kong to London, positioning us for even stronger future growth.
