Assistant SENCO/SEND Teacher
About This Role
The successful candidate will support the SENCO in the strategic leadership and day-to-day coordination of SEND provision, deliver high-quality inclusive teaching and targeted interventions, work closely with families and external agencies, and contribute to EHCP processes. You will join a supportive and collaborative team who value inclusion and the holistic development of every child.
We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
Has experience supporting pupils with a range ofadditionalneeds
Is an effective communicator and team player
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting pupils’ wellbeing
Is willing to support the ethos of the school
Desirable: NASENCO qualification (or willingness to undertake), experience of EHCPs, external agencies, or SEND leadership.
