Additionally, we introduced two new pathways—the HKDSE and a US-accredited project-based route—to meet the needs of our diverse learners.We are currently looking for dedicated educators in Science and Mathematics who are passionate about empowering students as we enhance our progressive program.Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated, skilled, and experienced Science and Mathematics Teacher to educate our students in these subjects. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging lessons that meet our curriculum standards, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and instilling a passion for Science and Mathematics. Ideal applicants will demonstrate effective teaching capabilities and be ready to assume a leadership role in pedagogy as our program advances.Key ResponsibilitiesTeach Science and Mathematics to students in Grades 7–9, including IGCSE and A-Level (CIE and Edexcel), ensuring compliance with international standards.Create and implement engaging lessons that are developmentally suitable and differentiate instruction to accommodate the diverse needs of students.Utilize experiential learning and hands-on experimentation in our Makerspace, encouraging students to apply scientific concepts through construction, prototyping, and inquiry-based projects.Collaborate with the STEAM Advisor and the broader interdisciplinary team to connect science education with real-world applications.Plan, teach, and coordinate STEAM Studio classes that explore career pathways and the industry applications of science through project-based learning and partnerships.Provide clear instruction and supervision for safe and effective laboratory experiments and scientific investigations.Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the G7–G9 science and mathematics curriculum, including unit design, assessments, scope and sequence documentation, and resource development.Utilize both formative and summative assessments to track student progress and adjust instruction to enhance learning outcomes.Maintain accurate records of student learning using approved curriculum templates and contribute to student portfolios.Person SpecificationEssential Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Science, Mathematics, Education, or a related field.A minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience in a classroom or similar setting.Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Teaching License).Proficiency in both English and Mandarin (spoken and written).Commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive education.Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and teamwork within a school environment.Evidence of academic excellence.Successful completion of a criminal background check.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in Science, Mathematics, Education, or related fields.Experience working with secondary students from Mainland China.Strong understanding of educational technology.Commitment to ongoing professional development.Collaborative, positive, and innovative approach to teaching.Apply via the WhatSchool platform.
