Grades Class Teacher
The Vancouver Waldorf School, located in North Vancouver, British Columbia, is seeking a dedicated Grades Class Teacher for a permanent full-time position. This role is scheduled to commence at the beginning of the 2025/2026 academic year. The ideal candidate will possess a deep commitment to Waldorf education and inspire a love of learning in children and young adults. Responsible for a classroom of up to 30 students, the successful applicant will exhibit outstanding classroom management and organizational skills. Key qualities include effective communication and interpersonal abilities, as well as a collaborative spirit to work across different departments.
The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Planning lessons and preparing the classroom
- Delivering main lessons
- Conducting track classes
- Composing reports
Additional responsibilities will entail:
- Attending faculty meetings
- Acting as a liaison for parents
- Organizing parent evenings
- Participating in all school events and faculty meetings
- Stepping in as a substitute teacher in other classrooms when required
Education and Skill Requirements:
- BC Teacher Certification or eligibility to obtain one
- At least five years of experience in Waldorf Class Teaching is preferred
- Waldorf Training Certificate or a commitment to start training within two years of hiring
- Proficiency in written and spoken English

Salary: $45,150.00 to $69,669.00 per year, prorated to FTE based on experience and qualifications
