Job Overview
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing our Art and Design curriculum, focusing on enriching our IGCSE Art offerings and cultivating pathways for A-Level students.
Key Responsibilities
•
Deliver outstanding instruction in Art and Design for KS3–KS5, including A-Level Digital Media and Design
•
Create and implement a comprehensive IGCSE Art and Design curriculum
•
Assist students in developing their creativity, refining their technical skills, and curating independent portfolios
•
Prepare students for Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level assessments
•
Participate in curriculum development and enhancement activities within the Visual Arts department
•
Cultivate a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment that embodies the school's values
Requirements
•
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant field
•
At least 2 years of experience in a similar position at an international school
•
A recognized teaching qualification, such as a PGCE with QTS or an equivalent certification
•
Understanding of the Cambridge International Curriculum
•
Native English speaker or demonstrate exceptional proficiency in English, both spoken and written
•
Strong classroom management and communication skills
•
Commitment to Values-based Education and Inquiry Learning
•
Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE and/or A-Level Art and Design
•
Solid knowledge of Digital Media tools and creative software
