Learning Support Assistant
About This Role
Learning Support Assistant to support children with SEND in KS1
Sires Hill opened in September 2023 and is a popular, oversubscribed, multicultural primary school on a new housing estate. The school will continue to grow each September as we welcome new reception children.
We are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) who values working with pupils with special educational needs. The post will involve working in Year 1 alongside other Learning Support Assistants who provide support for children with Education, Health and Care plans. The children have a range of communication and language difficulties and social, emotional and mental health challenges. Whenever possible, these children are integrated into the Year 1 classroom as we believe that quality first teaching is important and they need the right staff members to enable them to be successful.
We are looking for staff who:
* Value working with children with special educational needs
* Who enjoy working as part of a team
* Have experience or willingness to train to learn different approaches to help children be successful
*Create a haven in which our children feel especially safe, valued and happy
In return we can offer:
- A brand new purpose built primary school with extensive resources.
- A commitment to high quality professional development.
- A supportive and encouraging Senior Leadership Team and trust.
- A commitment to work life balance.
