About This Role
We are excited to announce an opportunity for an exceptional Teaching & Learning Coach to become part of our Senior Leadership Team. This pivotal leadership position reports directly to the Principal and encompasses a comprehensive school-wide responsibility to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with senior and middle leaders, including the SENCO and phase leaders, to cultivate a culture centered around high performance, innovation, and ongoing improvement throughout the school.
This role presents a thrilling chance for a dedicated and experienced educator to influence pedagogical practices, nurture staff development, and ensure high standards of student progress and achievement are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
• Spearhead the advancement of teaching and learning across the school, concentrating on pedagogy, student progress, and academic excellence.
• Promote excellence in both internal and external assessments.
• Create and implement a robust professional development program for all teaching staff.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to teachers, fostering reflective practices and innovative teaching methods.
• Conduct supportive lesson observations and engage in quality assurance processes.
• Oversee and enhance the quality of feedback and assessment practices throughout the school.
• Ensure that schemes of work, lesson planning, and assessment documents align with GEMS standards.
• Assist in the execution of school improvement priorities and contribute to strategic planning.
• Lead internal inspection activities, including audits, reporting, and follow-up actions.
• Identify and disseminate best practices across the school, encouraging collaboration and continuous enhancement.
• Participate in staff recruitment processes, including leading micro-teach sessions.
• Collaborate closely with the SLT to monitor progress against school targets and provide consistent updates.
Academic & Pastoral Responsibilities
• Establish strong professional relationships with teachers, promoting a culture of openness and ambition.
• Assist staff in developing exemplary teaching and assessment methodologies.
• Facilitate training sessions on teaching and learning during staff development days.
• Advocate for inclusive, differentiated teaching that accommodates the needs of all learners.
• Engage in external networks, peer reviews, and continuous professional development opportunities.
General Responsibilities

• Contribute to the broader school community, including duties, events, and after-school initiatives.
• Support inspection readiness, school self-evaluation (SEF), and school development planning (SDP).
• Represent and advocate for the school in a positive light within the community.
• Respect local culture, customs, and laws while upholding professionalism and confidentiality.
• Perform additional duties as reasonably assigned by the Principal.
