About This Role

Job Overview

We are looking for an exceptional educator to teach Secondary Art, covering lower secondary (Year 7) to GCSE (Year 11) at our institution situated in Koh Samui. This is a unique chance to advance your teaching skills on one of Thailand's most celebrated islands while participating in a distinctive, results-driven educational framework.

Main Duties

  • Actively engage with the school community through enrichment activities, developing effective teaching strategies and curriculum, implementing interventions for individuals or groups, managing internal assessments, and participating in outreach programs;
  • Teach students of various ages and abilities, offering challenges for advanced learners while providing support for those who may struggle with the subject;
  • Take initiative in your own professional growth in collaboration with our leadership team;
  • Comply with the school’s policies on assessment and reporting, follow the teacher’s manual, and attend parents’ meetings as required;
  • Participate in the co-curricular life of the school as coordinated with our leadership team;
  • Show a strong commitment to safeguarding the well-being of all young individuals;
  • Tutor groups of students of different sizes, demonstrating genuine interest in their welfare and academic success;
  • Regularly contribute to various initiatives, such as educational development or pastoral care, to support the school community and build rapport with students.

The Ideal Candidate

You will be a reflective and thoughtful educator who:

  • Holds a good honours degree (2:1 or above) and/or a further degree in a relevant discipline;
  • Is enthusiastic about their subject and can demonstrate the required subject knowledge to deliver engaging lessons to a diverse range of ages and abilities at Panyadee (PBISS);
  • Shares Panyadee's holistic educational philosophy and is keen to contribute to both co-curricular and pastoral aspects of school life;
  • Has strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals;
  • Is committed to continuous professional development;
  • Understands and is dedicated to the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion;
  • Is open to advancements and innovations in teaching and learning, remaining receptive to various assessment and differentiation techniques in the classroom;
  • Is willing to share their educational philosophy and teaching methods with the school while benefiting from collaborative teaching practices;
  • Respects the confidentiality of intellectual property and the work of school stakeholders, including colleagues sharing their teaching strategies;
  • Demonstrates proficiency in ICT and is ready to utilize various technologies for teaching and learning;
